François Mas
Born in Grenoble, I benefited from the equipment created in my childhood for the Olympic Games. Skiing and the mountains have become obvious since I was 3 years old, with ice-skating and sliding in all its forms, trained by the Grenoble University Club. As an adult, my destiny as a ski instructor naturally turns towards Val d’Isère, recognised as the Mecca of world skiing.
My life in the heart of the Tarentaise valley, is an enchantment shared with my wife and our two children, boy and girl. For more than a decade, we have entirely rehabilitated ourselves an old barn, in which we now live.
In the summer, we like to travel all around the world, to be open to cultural diversity and to to draw inspiration from it in our daily lives. Sport is the essence of my life, with climbing, mountain biking, mountain hiking on glaciers, canyoning, kayaking, windsurfing or catamaran, scuba diving, so many beautiful horizons to enjoy and to be nourished by extraordinary sensations.
My teaching

- My coaching of ski progression is based on games, laughter and encouragement, punctuated and modulated by the psycho-sociology of each of my relationships.

- In order to be totally on holiday and free of all constraints, I naturally take care of all the details to organise everything my guests need for the smooth running of their stay.
- For the comfort of my clients, I choose the most beautiful slopes and the least frequented ones, where there is the best snow to perfect their tracks, to explore the ski area according to the weather, sheltered from the wind or in the sun.
- Skiing is closely linked to the mountain in which we evolve : watching, observing, understanding our environment is essential in this journey to the summits.

- Fluent in French and English, very good in Spanish and good in Russian
- Fully Qualified French National Ski Instructor
- B.A.F.A. Youth leadership diploma
- Diploma from the Mountain and Tourism Training Institute issued by the Grenoble Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Prices and lesson times for 1 to 6 persons, may be modified according to specific requirements.
Your booking will be confirmed upon reception of a 30% deposit, payable by cheque or bank transfer.
The balance may be paid :
– in cash (Euros)
– by French cheque in Euros
– via bank transfer into my professional account
For extra flexibility, if my schedule permits, times may be adapted to fit your requirements.
